Pride 2026: celebrate loud, stay safe

Pride is joy, protest, and community all at once. Here's how to make the most of it — safely, and looking out for yourself and each other.

Staying safe in the celebration

Meeting people you can actually trust

Pride is one of the best times to meet people — and unfortunately, scammers and catfish know that too. A few quick habits keep the magic without the risk:

Looking after your mental health

Pride is beautiful, but it can also be a lot — old wounds, family stuff, loneliness in a crowd, or just sensory overload. If this season feels heavy, that's human, and you're not alone.

We keep a page of free, confidential LGBTQ+ helplines you can call or text in your country, any time: throattheory.com/support →. There's no problem too small to reach out about.

Pride around the world

🇨🇦 Canada — a global Pride powerhouse. Toronto Pride is one of the largest Pride celebrations on Earth, drawing well over a million people, with Vancouver and Montréal hosting huge, vibrant festivals of their own. Few places celebrate louder or more openly — if you're in Canada, this is your season.

Beyond Canada, the world lights up: NYC and San Francisco Pride in the US, London and Brighton in the UK, Madrid and Amsterdam in Europe, São Paulo (one of the biggest of all), and Sydney's Mardi Gras down under. Wherever you are, there's likely a celebration near you.
